The Opportunity

This is a leadership position responsible for the delivery performance and growth of our hydraulics/irrigation division.

As Hydraulics/Irrigation Operations Manager you will take ownership of hydraulics/irrigation operations across multiple commercial landscape and civil projects from early planning and procurement through to installation commissioning and ongoing maintenance.

You will play a critical role in:

• Building and leading high-performing site teams
• Driving installation quality and technical excellence
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Managing subcontractors and specialist suppliers
• Standardising systems processes and programming practices
• Strengthening client relationships and repeat work opportunities

This role suits someone who is technically strong but also commercially aware a leader who understands productivity forecasting labour planning and cost control.

You will work closely with Project Managers Construction Managers and senior leadership to ensure hydraulics/irrigation systems are integrated seamlessly into broader landscape delivery programs.

Beyond project delivery you will also have the opportunity to:

• Refine and improve irrigation installation standards
• Introduce innovation in water efficiency and smart control systems
• Develop internal capability and mentor emerging leaders
• Contribute to strategic growth of the irrigation division

This is not just a site-based supervisor role it is a division leadership role with real influence over performance systems and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage irrigation installs across multiple sites
• Lead site supervisors and irrigation crews
• Oversee programming and commissioning systems
• Ensure compliance with specs and standards
• Coordinate suppliers and material procurement
• Monitor project budgets and labour performance
• Conduct QA inspections and testing
• Manage maintenance and defect rectification
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders
• Drive safety efficiency and team performance

What Were Looking For

• 5 years irrigation or plumbing experience
• Proven leadership of site-based teams
• Strong knowledge of controllers and pump systems
• Ability to read and interpret plans
• Strong planning and organisational skills
