About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Manager to lead and inspire our Veterinary Clinics in Otaki and Levin. This position reports directly to the CA Hub Manager and is a member of the Companys leadership team. You will need to have a passion for the local community and the ability to provide leadership for our clinics technical & retail teams.
Levin & Horowhenua Vets is a busy mixed practice. Theyve been serving their community for over 80 years and have a strong and well-regarded production animal team. The companion animal side is equally busy and the team is very proactive about creating offers that develop and expand their customer base.
Otaki Vets is a change of atmosphere in comparison theyre a companion animal only clinic and they embrace their boutique vibe with a small cohesive team. Otaki has ambitious plans for growth while still maintaining their local community feel.
This opportunity will suit someone who loves nurturing strong team dynamics and ensuring our clients feel genuinely supported at every visit.
This is a hands-on role for a manager who has a strong business background and experience in leadership to work with teams across multiple sites. You will have previous management experience ideally within the veterinary or agricultural environment.
Areas of responsibility:
- Leadership of the Levin and Otaki teams
- Financial Development Monitoring and Reporting
- Assist and identify customer needs
- Marketing and promotional strategies
- Policy and procedures management
- Facility management for the premises
- Health and safety maintenance
Skills and experience you will possess:
- Staff and operational management across multiple sites
- Experience with client service delivery and complaint resolution
- Solid experience in creating and developing a high performing team
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills
- Effective communicator and mentor
- Ability to provide problem solving solutions
- Manage time prioritise and work effectively under pressure

About the Area
Levin is a rural town that has seen a lot of growth over the past 10 years and is the 10th fastest growing district in New Zealand. It is especially popular with families wanting a more affordable relaxed lifestyle.
If you enjoy the outdoors Levin is a great choice with beaches on one side and the Taraua Ranges with its walking tracks on the other. For city amenities Wellington is an hours drive south and Palmerston North is 40 minutes drive north.
People move to Otaki for the lifestyle. The beach is five minutes away and the vibe is very much laid-back and community orientated.
