The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. certification in Neurology is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students and residents in the outpatient clinic and inpatient setting and instructing clinical fellows in allied specialties such as ENT internal medicine and family medicine. The candidate will help identify and schedule appropriate speakers and topics for the weekly general neurology group case conference and for the resident lecture series and assist with the virtual Case of the Month series. Opportunities to teach in the preclinical Brain and Behavior course also are provided.
Clinical responsibilities may include personal clinics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and Pennsylvania Hospital as well as attending responsibilities for resident clinics at HUP. These personal clinics will primarily be specialized clinics focusing on neuro-otology. There may be a small component of more general neurology clinics particularly headache patients. Participation in clinical trial recruitment CME activities and quality improvement initiatives is welcome.
