AIG has helped buyers and sellers close more than 4000 deals globally since the late 1990s. Our M&A experts work with clients to measure and mitigate transactional risks which helps reduce uncertainty and close a deal quickly.

How you will create an impact

The Analyst will support the global leadership team of the M&A insurance portfolio which includes warranties and indemnities insurance tax liability insurance and contingent liability insurance.

Among other things the Analyst will:

  • Analyse global underwriting data in respect of the transactional risk portfolio and present preliminary findings and conclusions to management.
  • Liaise with underwriting teams including Regional Managers Senior Underwriters and M&A Analysts in each of AIGs regions
  • Work with claims colleagues and actuarial colleagues in various regions to help analyse claims information as well as market trends
  • Collate information for use by reinsurers

What youll need to succeed

  • Excel knowledge of complex formulas pivot tables and macros
  • CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)
  • Power BI (DAX and Power Query)
  • Scripting level for Python experience with the following libraries: pandas NumPy Matplotlib and a web scraping library (preferably selenium)
  • Some knowledge of automation software and SQL is an advantage
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Experience of automation and data wrangling is an advantage
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Highly focused enthusiastic and creative thinker;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaboratively work on a global basis;
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
