Our Opportunity
Due to continued growth NEPEAN Engineering is seeking a highly organised and driven Project Engineer to join our team in Prestons NSW.
This is a full-time permanent position suited to someone who thrives on planning coordinating and delivering projects efficiently accurately and at pace.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects move smoothly from tender through to production and final delivery keeping timelines tight costs controlled and quality high.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting the tendering process by developing clear project scopes budgets and delivery schedules
- Reviewing drawings engineering data inspection and test plans
- Developing and issuing detailed manufacturing routings to production teams
- Coordinating internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Proactively identifying risks bottlenecks and schedule impacts and resolving them quickly
- Assisting with supplier and subcontractor engagement where required
- Driving projects from design through to manufacture and delivery
- Continuously improving systems processes and planning methods to increase efficiency
This role suits a hands-on solutions-focused individual who enjoys getting things done and keeping projects moving.

The Right Person
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant Trade Qualifications
- Experience within manufacturing heavy fabrication or machining environments
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- A proactive action-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
