Job Description:

This person will facilitate a non-credit course during our EXCEL two-week summer institute(s) for current Toledo Excel high school scholars between 9th and 12th grade ranging in topics of math science civil rights communications financial literacy computer literacy arts & humanities etc)

Toledo EXCEL summer staff will provide leadership and direction safe and supportive environments comfort and protection to the students parents and staff of the Toledo Excel program. Essential to be respectful of staff students UT personnel and EXCEL families. Refrain from participating in all illegal acts.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be proficient in content area at minimum the high school level course equivalents. * Experience working with high school youth.
* Positive responsible proactive engaging respective and mature role models.
* Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to provide leadership work within team structures and direct student groups.
* Have strong communication skills (2-way communication is essential); think critically.

Preferred Qualifications:

classroom management and/or group facilitation with high school age youth

Youth team building
Small & large group mentoring
Responsible organized
classroom management is a must
