Job Summary
SwimRVA is looking for a Professional Rescuer (Lifeguard) who has a passion for life safety and thrives on working in a team environment. This position is a seasonal position for our outdoor North location for the months of May through September. Training could start as early as mid-April. The right candidate will utilize their training and certifications to provide the highest levels of service to all users of SwimRVA facilities. The SwimRVA Professional Rescuer is additionally trained in general facility operations. The SwimRVA Professional Rescuer has a fast career advancement track that offers opportunities in life safety SwimRVA Safety School faculty positions and facility operations. The SwimRVA Professional Rescuer job duties:
- Ensure safety of all patrons guests and employees throughout the facility
- Maintain facility cleanliness
- Perform general facility operations
- Assist with set up and load out of world class events
Qualifications:
- A positive attitude and work ethic
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification preferred or willing to obtain through the SwimRVA Safety School
- Able to work during the months of mid-April through the end of September
- Able to work outdoors at our SwimRVA North location
Salary/ Benefits:
- Part-time position
- Starting salary at $14.25/hour
