Position Summary As a bartender team members will give our members and customers an amazing drinking and gambling experience by providing exceptional customer service skills while preparing quality drinks as requested by our customers and members. It is the responsibility of the bartender to ensure compliance with local and state drinking laws and to ensure our customers and members remain safe both while drinking and after the fact. Its also the responsibility of the bartender to practice safe and hygienic food and beverage practices. Position Details DEPARTMENT: BAR Compensation and Benefits:$12.00 per hour plus tips. Medical Dental Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) WORK HOURS: Full-Time minimum of 32 hours a week- Day Shift/Swing Shift/Graveyard Shifts as needed. This position does not have a guaranteed/set schedule and is subject to change as business needs require. REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager TIP COMPLAINCE: Calculated Tips based on IRS Agreement. Participation is Required. Minimum Qualifications: To be qualified to hold this position team members must meet the below minimum requirements. - Must obtain and maintain a Gaming Card issued by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
- Must be 21 year or older.
- At least 6 months experience as a bartender or barback.
- Familiarity with most alcoholic drinks.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read write and speak English fluently.
- Ability to register with the Nevada Gaming Commission.
- Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous manner.
- Ability to perform the physical demands.
- Ability to perform essential duties as outlined below.
- Must pass a drug/alcohol test.
- Must be alcohol awareness certified within 3 months of hire.
- Must comply with Max Casino policies and procedures.
Work Environment: 100% indoor frequent loud noise level with cigar and cigarette smoke. Team members must be able to go from working in a slow pace to working in a fast-paced environment very quickly and without hesitation. - Serve and receive drink orders for customers and guests on the Casino floor.
- Follow and ensure compliance with local state and federal alcohol consumption regulations.
- Check I.D. for customers that look under 40 years of age.
- Routinely make a fresh pot of coffee as needed/applicable dependent on the time of day.
- Accurately maintain a bank of $100.00 without variance.
- Manage and operate a Point of Sale station and ring up orders and manage tabs on a regular basis.
- Continuously stock bar items such as beer glasses beer and other supplies.
- Clean stock and prepare garnish tray with appropriate garnishments.
- Place food orders as requested by our members and guests and assist in the cleanup of said orders as needed.
- Routinely clean and wipe down the bar and bottles of liqueur as needed.
- Keep storeroom and bar organized to ensure peek performance.
- Witness and assist with Jackpot Payouts as needed/applicable.
- Ensure food and beverage safety by routinely washing hands and after each cash transaction.
- Preform other duties as requested by management the Manager on Duty and direct supervisor.
