Summary:The purpose of this position is to lead and support data informed and evidence-based decision makingacross the District for both credit and noncredit programming. The position serves as a strategic resourceto employees and senior leadership for the collection analysis interpretation visualization andcommunication of internal and external data that inform planning policy resource allocation workforcealignment and continuous improvement.

The role fulfills internal and external requests for institutional data including governmental and regulatoryreporting requirements such as IPEDS and other state federal workforce and accrediting agencies. Theposition plays a vital role in institutional effectiveness program review strategic planning andassessment by translating complex data into actionable insights for decision makers across academicworkforce and student support areas.

This position also serves as the Districts Accreditation Liaison Officer for the Higher LearningCommission and the Iowa Department of Education ensuring compliance data integrity and alignmentbetween institutional evidence and accreditation expectations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Compile maintain analyze interpret and disseminate institutional data ona term semester and annual basis for credit and noncredit programsincluding enrollment student success and retention completion outcomesworkforce participation equity indicators and program effectiveness tosupport data informed decisions.
  • Serve as the Districts primary contact for federal state and externalreporting requirements ensuring accuracy consistency and alignment ofinstitutional data across submissions reporting workforce and noncreditreporting along with other mandated reports.
  • Design administer analyze and communicate results of academicassessment district wide surveys student engagement employeeengagement surveys workforce and noncredit participant surveys andother institutional surveys. Develop longitudinal and trend analysestranslated into actionable insights for senior leadership and planning teams.
  • Develop analytical queries dashboards and reports. Collaborate with theDatabase Administrator and IT staff to extract integrate validate andanalyze data from multiple students workforce and financial clear timely and decision-focused analyses in response to ad hocand recurring data requests.
  • Serve as district Accreditation Liaison Officer for the Higher LearningCommission and the Iowa Department of Education to support continuedaccreditation including monitoring HLC/DE policies and proceduresmaintaining a copy of official HLC/DE documents and reports ensuringcompletion of annual Institutional Update providing oversight for the timelysubmission of substantive change requests and providing progress reportsto the district and administration.
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team and academic and workforce leaders to supportstrategic planning goal setting performance monitoring and institutional effectiveness initiativesacross credit noncredit and workforce education using dashboards key performance indicatorsand longitudinal analyses.

Education and Experience:Masters degree required with a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience ininstitutional research data analysis assessment or a related field within higher with noncredit and workforce data in community college preferred.

Abilities:
  • Knowledge of higher education and workforce education data trends accountability frameworksand performance metrics particularly within community colleges.
  • Ability to integrate and analyze credit noncredit and workforce data to support strategic andoperational decision making.
  • Strong ability to translate data into clear actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of research design methodology and applied analytics.
  • Proficiency with data tools and systems including Excel and database applications with SQLexperience preferred.
  • Ability to develop dashboards reports and visualizations that support executive academic andworkforce leaders.
  • Knowledge of integrated student information systems and workforce data systems.
  • Knowledge of state and federally mandated reporting requirements including workforce andnoncredit reporting.
  • Knowledge of Higher Learning Commission standards expectations and evidence requirements.
  • Excellent quantitative analytical written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail accuracy documentation and data integrity.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Ability to work independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Base Wage:$56387-$75182 annually -actual salary will be based on experience and education.
