Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated reliable and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial housekeeping or a related field is preferred it is not mandatory. All applicants must successfully complete a prescreen process and certain roles require a valid Hawaii drivers license and have a dependable vehicle. -Position: Full-Time Custodian

-Location: Waianae HI 96792

-Schedule: 32 hours per week Saturday/Sunday: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday/Tuesday: 12:00pm-8:30pm Up to 4 hours more with once a week office cleanings---Friday:5:00am-7:00am.

(Days off: Wednesday/Thursday)

-Compensation per hour: $16.50

-Key Responsibilities:

Exhibit effective communication skills and have a solid grasp of the English language.

Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.

Follow safety protocols diligently.

Perform tasks such as sweeping dusting mopping and sanitizing surfaces including frequently touched areas.

Clean windows and manage spills effectively.

Maintain cleanliness in restrooms office areas and the parking lot.

Empty trash bins replace liners and transport bagged trash to the sidewalk for next-day collection.

Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management or the property manager.

-Use of Equipment:

Buffer machine

Pressure washer for outdoor spaces

Leaf blower for outdoor upkeep

Vacuum for indoor cleaning

-Skills/Qualifications:

Must pass HBM prescreen.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Hawaii Drivers License is preferred.

Previous experience in janitorial custodial or housekeeping roles is preferred though training will be provided.

Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Strong public relations and communication skills are essential.

Applicants must be capable of performing basic manual labor maintaining common areas and frequently lifting squatting bending pushing and pulling.

Must be able to reach overhead grasp objects (minimum of 25 lbs. up to 50 lbs.) kneel crawl climb stretch walk up and down stairs use elevators and climb ladders while standing throughout their shifts.
