Business Teacher – Stockport

A dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Stockport is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business Teacher to join its successful Business and Economics department. This is a full-time role available for an immediate start suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their career in a supportive and stimulating environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Business lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and potentially Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam specifications.

• Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Business assessments.

• Developing practical hands-on projects that enhance student engagement and understanding of real-world business contexts.

• Monitoring assessing and reporting on student progress and providing constructive feedback.

• Supporting extracurricular initiatives such as business clubs competitions and community enterprise projects.

• Collaborating with colleagues to maintain high-quality curriculum resources and innovative teaching strategies.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Business Studies or Economics.

• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to motivate students of all abilities.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Passion for practical student-centered learning and enrichment activities.

• Commitment to safeguarding inclusion and student wellbeing.
