The Opportunity
An established and forward-thinking independent school in Oxford invites applications for the position of Business Studies Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-achieving academic faculty within a school that values intellectual curiosity leadership and innovation.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring educator who can bring business concepts to life equipping pupils with the analytical financial and strategic thinking skills needed for future study and employment.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5
Deliver engaging lessons covering enterprise marketing finance operations and human resources
Prepare pupils for GCSE and A Level examinations
Encourage debate critical thinking and real-world application of business theory
Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as enterprise projects investment clubs or business competitions
Support pupils with university applications including competitive courses in business economics and related fields
Play an active role in the wider academic and pastoral life of the school
Independent school life extends beyond the classroom and the Business Studies Teacher will be expected to contribute fully to co-curricular and enrichment programmes.

The Person
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
A strong academic background in Business Economics or a related field
Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent experience in the independent sector)
Experience teaching GCSE and A Level Business Studies
The ability to inspire analytical thinking and commercial awareness
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A willingness to contribute to co-curricular and enrichment activities
A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
