Job Summary
A well-established and busy secondary school in Manchester is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join their premises team. The Role
As Caretaker you will support the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school site.
Key responsibilities include:
Opening and closing the school premises
Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
Ensuring health and safety compliance across the site
Supporting with room setups for events and examinations
Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
Maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of external areas
You will work closely with the Site Manager and wider premises team to ensure the school environment remains safe and welcoming.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous caretaking maintenance or site experience
Good practical skills and basic DIY knowledge
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong reliability and time management skills
