Job Summary
An oversubscribed and well-regarded secondary school in Buckinghamshire is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join its successful Design & Technology department from April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to teach motivated pupils in a school that combines strong academic standards with a commitment to practical and life skills education.
Food Technology is a popular subject within the school with strong participation at KS3 and KS4 and excellent facilities that support high-quality practical delivery.
The Role
Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5 depending on experience
Delivering structured and engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with NEA coursework and exam preparation
Promoting high standards of hygiene safety and organisation within kitchen environments
Monitoring pupil progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting enrichment initiatives and cross-curricular opportunities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Food Technology Nutrition or related discipline
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
High expectations for pupil engagement and academic achievement
A professional organised and positive teaching approach
