Preparing chemicals solutions and apparatus for practical Chemistry lessons across KS3KS5
Supporting advanced practical investigations at GCSE and A Level
Ensuring safe handling storage and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
Maintaining laboratory equipment and coordinating servicing or repairs
Managing chemical stock control and maintaining accurate inventories
Assisting teachers with risk assessments and updating safety documentation
Supporting the preparation and administration of required practical assessments
Ensuring laboratories remain compliant organised and safe at all times
Liaising with other Science technicians to ensure smooth departmental operations
Previous laboratory or Chemistry-based experience (school or industry)
Strong understanding of COSHH and laboratory safety procedures
High attention to detail and organisational accuracy
Confidence supporting practical investigations at GCSE and A Level
The ability to prioritise workload in a busy school environment
A professional reliable and proactive approach
