The Associate Director/Training Coordinator reports to the Director of Counseling Services and works collaboratively within a shared leadership model with final decision-making authority residing with the Director.
Principal Duties and Functions:
Administrative
Collaborate with the Director to provide leadership and consultation to colleagues particularly with urgent and high-risk clinical cases.
Assist the Director with key administrative responsibilities including but not limited to policy development budget overseeing staff functions in collaboration with the Director generating and analyzing statistical reports writing the annual report and utilizing quality assurance processes to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
Represent the Counseling Center on university and community committees and functions as appropriate.
Serve as Acting Director in the absence of the Director.
Clinical
individual group and couples therapy as well as crisis intervention counseling services to university students within a brief treatment model.
consultation services to faculty and staff.
outreach to campus organizations and classes to inform students about personal development and mental health concerns.
direct supervision to graduate practicum students and interns.
other duties as requested by the director as appropriate.
Training Coordinator
the intern/practicum program for graduate-level students.
current policies and procedures for the internship program.
as a liaison for the interns universities.
intern recruitment and participation in selection and hiring decisions in collaboration with the Director.
biweekly training team meetings.
intern seminars.
other duties as requested by the director as appropriate.
