Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 312 Nights
Pay: $2179.80/week
Completion Bonus: $2500 per contract (up to $7500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled and adaptable NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Nashville Tennessee at a public hospital transitioning toward an LDRP (Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum) care model. NICU travelers will assist with cross-training efforts and provide coverage for Delivery and Mother/Baby units during this transition.

This role requires strong neonatal experience flexibility and the willingness to float across units as needed. Nurses must be comfortable in a dynamic environment that includes caring for incarcerated patients and working in a combined NICU Level II and well-baby nursery setting.

This is a unique opportunity for NICU nurses who are confident adaptable and comfortable functioning independently in high-responsibility clinical situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized NICU and neonatal nursing care.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and function as baby nurse.
  • Provide care for neonates in NICU II and well-baby nursery.
  • Manage neonatal ventilation (AC PC SIMV CPAP BiPAP PEEP).
  • Perform blood glucose monitoring IV therapy phlebotomy and medication administration.
  • Support delivery coverage during LDRP cross-training.
  • Float to Delivery Mother/Baby and other units as needed.
  • Function independently in emergency situations when attending deliveries.
  • Provide care for incarcerated patients when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Active Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact license (required at submission).
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required.
  • Must have L&D experience and willingness to float to other units.
  • Comfortable working with incarcerated patient populations.
  • First-time travelers accepted.
  • Locals accepted at same rate.
  • Required Certifications:
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
    • NRP
    • STABLE
