Job Summary: The Radiology Interventional Technologist performs specialized interventional radiology procedures in a Level I Trauma facility. This role supports physicians during minimally invasive vascular and cardiac procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging radiation safety and optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians during interventional radiology and Cath Lab procedures.
Prepare procedure rooms sterile fields equipment and supplies.
Operate fluoroscopic and imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergent situations as needed.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and department protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation and support workflow within the department.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of previous Interventional Radiology experience.
Prior experience in a Level I Trauma facility required.
Cath Lab experience required.
Must function specifically as an IR Tech (not General X-Ray).
Ability to work Day Shift 7:00 AM 3:00 PM including every other weekend.
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Certifications
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
ARRT Advanced Registry in one of the following:
Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI)
Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)
Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider)
Additional ARRT specialization certifications Highly Preferred
License: Active ARRT registration with required advanced interventional credential.
