HISTO TECHMARCH 16TH START DATE 100 MILE RADIUS RULEDays (start times are either 5:30a or 6a)13 weeksEducation: Bachelor of Science in medical technology biology and chemistry or HTL certification from recognized requirement: Histotechnician AAS NY State license candidate will assume responsibility for the processing embedding cutting and staining of surgical and autopsy tissue and for preparation and staining of cytopathology specimens according to established policies and procedures for Pathologists examination and candidate will be responsible for the correct management of the patients body tissue which includes preparing microscopic sections for diagnosis by Pathologist as well as documentation and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Histologist will perform specialized selective techniques required for diagnostic purposes and participate in the Quality Assurance in New York States magnificent North Country Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown NY has a rich history and over a century of experience helping families stay healthy through outstanding compassionate state-of-the-art medical care.
