Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Application Support Engineer to provide support for Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) applications for a leading utility client. The role involves monitoring troubleshooting and maintaining application health managing user access and delivering operational insights with a strong emphasis on service reliability and performance in the power utilities domain.
Key Responsibilities:
System Monitoring & Health Checks
- Perform daily health checks for production non-production OTE and Kibana environments.
- Monitor integration status and server performance across ADMS components.
Incident Management
- Handle P3 and P4 incidents using ServiceNow.
- Respond to alerts/issues from the ADMS mailbox and ensure timely resolution.
User Access & Security
- Manage user access creation deletion and password reset requests.
- Ensure compliance with access control and cybersecurity policies.
Reporting & Dashboarding
- Validate and maintain operational reports.
- Build dashboards for performance and operational insights.
- Prepare and submit Weekly Monthly BPPR and LMS reports.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including infrastructure application and business stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation for processes configurations and troubleshooting steps.
Required Technical Skills:
- ServiceNow (incident and performance analytics)
- MSSQL and SQL scripting
- Windows Server administration
- Integration monitoring and troubleshooting
- Basic networking and server health diagnostics
Domain-Specific Knowledge (ADMS / Power Utilities):
- Understanding of SCADA OMS DMS systems and their integration within ADMS.
- Familiarity with real-time grid operations load flow analysis and fault location isolation and service restoration (FLISR).
- Knowledge of GIS integration and network model management.
- Experience with metering systems distribution transformers and substation automation.
- Awareness of utility business processes such as outage management crew dispatch and asset tracking.
- Exposure to IEC standards (e.g. IEC 61850 IEC 61970/61968) is a plus.
Additional Recommended Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts or on-call support.
- ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
