Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to support the legal team by assisting with various legal tasks including litigation support document preparation and legal research. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in paralegal studies and relevant experience in a legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Department litigation and legal research.
- Prepare legal documents affidavits and responses to discovery requests.
- Act as a liaison with the Attorney Generals Office.
- Process and handle expungement orders and public records requests.
- Maintain legal documentation and ensure proper indexing and filing.
Required Skills:
- Paralegal certification with at least 2 years of experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools (LexisNexis Westlaw).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
