Principal I, Connectivity Security

Summary of Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer with a strong background in cloud security to join our dynamic IT team. This role will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining robust network security solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise leadership abilities and a passion for protecting organizational assets from evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design deploy and manage enterprise-level network security architectures including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) VPNs and secure connectivity solutions.
• Lead cloud security initiatives ensuring the protection of data and services in public private and hybrid cloud environments (e.g. Azure AWS Google Cloud).
• Conduct risk assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps.
• Develop and enforce security policies standards and procedures for network and cloud resources.
• Provide full life-cycle support for network security environments.
• Collaborate with IT DevOps and cloud engineering teams to integrate security best practices into application and infrastructure deployment pipelines.
• Monitor network and cloud environments and respond rapidly to incidents investigations as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest threats trends and technologies in network and cloud security; recommend and implement improvements.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Prepare documentation reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (Masters preferred).
• 5 years of experience in network security engineering with at least 2 years focused on cloud security.
• Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs and network monitoring tools.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles controls and technologies (e.g. IAM encryption security groups cloud-native security tools).
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure AWS or Google Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with NG Firewall platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Zscaler and similar platforms
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g. PCI-DSS HIPAA GDPR) and security standards (e.g. NIST ISO 27001) a plus.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python PowerShell or equivalent) for security orchestration.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g. CISSP CCSP AWS Certified Security Specialty Azure Security Engineer Associate).
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must speak fluent English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with container security (Docker Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of zero trust architectures and micro-segmentation.
• Experience in Python or other scripting languages.
• Ability to work in fast-paced collaborative environments and manage multiple priorities.

Work hours: 11 AM to 8 PM IST
