We are a district that serves over 6000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 1-4 two middle schools for grades 5-8 and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive library media program that provides information and technology literacy skills instruction; lead collaborate and consult with classroom teachers for the purpose of integrating information and technology literacy skills with content teaching and to administer media center operations programming and resources. Start date:August 24 2026 (plus new-to-district teacher orientation during the week prior to August 24 2026)
FTE: 1.0
Contract: 186 days (plus 2 or 3 days of new-to-district orientation depending on the Department of Teaching & Learnings requirements for this position)
Requirements & Qualifications
Requires Masters Degree in Library Media Education and teacher and library media specialist certification as determine by the State of Minnesota; extensive knowledge and skills in teaching and learning using technology; extensive and current knowledge of and commitment to childrens young adult and adult literature previous teaching experience preferred.
Salary
Starting salary range $48292-$90967. For more information please see theCertified Master Contract 2025-2027.
