Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Proposal / Estimation Engineer to join the Commercial/Engineering team in a corporate environment. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates tender submissions and commercial proposals to support business development and project acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates based on drawings specifications and BOQs
Analyze tender documents scope of work and contract conditions
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis
Prepare technical and commercial proposals
Coordinate with engineering procurement and finance teams for pricing inputs
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
Identify project risks and incorporate contingencies in pricing
Participate in tender clarifications and negotiations
Maintain estimation databases and historical cost records
Ensure timely submission of compliant and competitive bids
Requirements
BSc / BE in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
Minimum 5 years of experience in Estimation and Tendering
Relevant industry experience is mandatory
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost structures
Experience in corporate/commercial office-based role preferred
Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software
Strong analytical and commercial awareness
Good communication and coordination skills
Must be locally available
