GMF Steel Groups Foundation the Norman Family Foundation (NFF) is seeking a full-time pastor/administrative assistantfor Travel Ball Church (TBC)/Norman Family Foundation (NFF)who could provide on-field pastoring to female athletes.TBC is an on-site ministry that spreads the gospel to young athletes and their families on the fields where they play. As a pastor your mission on the weekends will be ministering to athletes on the field of play spreading the NFF/TBC mission making connections and developing relationships praying with teams and leading on-field devotions.
Weekday responsibilities will entail providing administrative support for the Foundations Executive Director and carrying out the day-to-day functions of the foundation including managing communications organizing information and carrying out Foundation business relating to grant requests scholarship applications and fundraising events.
Were looking for someone who is familiar with sports and athletics has felt a calling to ministry (even if they haventfollowed the traditional path)and has strong organizational skills is detail oriented and enjoysaccomplishinga variety of tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Share personal testimony as a Faithful and Dedicated Follower of Christ
- Set up and tear down equipment at ballfields (i.e. tents tables AV etc.)
- Build relationships with athletes and their families coaches tournament directors and officials.
- Working with cooperating churches
- Provide administrative support to the Director of the Foundation
- Carry out the day-to-day functions of the Foundation
- Play a key role in planning and executing future TBC and NFF events
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in Christian Ministry/Leadership (church staff private ministry ministry volunteer) **Calling to Student ministry is not required but a bonus**
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in administrative operations Microsoft Office record-keeping and basic event planning
- Willing to adopt advocate for and grow the vision of NFF
- A passion to see student athletes walks with Christ develop
- A heart for the local community outreach and youth engagement
- Ability to work weekends and travel to sports events as needed
- Personal experience or involvement in youth sports
- Positive Communication Skills (Public Speaking Teaching Writing Social Media)
- a. Ability to share the Gospel of Jesus to all ages and help them understand Jesus loves them.
- i. Devotions short sermons team prayers and leading additional team Bible studies upon request
- b. Comfort in sharing with Churches Schools Colleges and Organizations about the Vision of TBC and NFF
- Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred but not required
