The Packaging Data Specialist serves as the central point of contact for managing technical documentation and data related to packaging and print specifications. This role ensures accurate input of specifications into customer systems supports graphic development processes and maintains data integrity across multiple platforms. The specialist collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to streamline workflows and improve data management practices.
The individual will be the single point of contact within R & D for creation and implementation of material codes for product packaging within Saputos plants. They will work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure the data is accurate complete and timely.
How you will make contributions that matter
Serve as the single point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for completing technical forms related to packaging and print specifications.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on printer specifications print processes and vendor requirements.
Input critical information into customer databases to initiate graphic development for dairy packaging. Including but not limited to: packaging and print specifications die lines etc.
Organize store and maintain data files ensuring security accuracy and accessibility.
Develop strategies for data collection and entry including creating procedures such as surveys and forms and databases
Design workflows and develop data management systems to enhance efficiency.
Implement new technologies to improve packaging documentation and data processes.
Manage the initial stages of packaging projects by coordinating between internal and external stakeholders including: consumer relations sales designers and printers.
Ensure documentation aligns with appropriate packaging structures and print styles.
Maintain and update master data records in the SAP system ensuring accuracy completeness and consistency.
Collaborate with various departments including procurement and supply planning to gather and validate data for entry into the SAP system.
Perform data analysis and quality checks to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in master data.
Partner with internal stakeholders to implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
Monitor data entry processes and provide training and support to end-users to ensure accurate and efficient data management.
Generate reports and provide data analysis to support business decision-making processes.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience skills and qualifications
Bachelors degree in business management packaging design or equivalent experience of 5 years (Food Industry Packaging/Labeling preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP required
Highly organized and meticulous with details
Enjoys working in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in data entry and database management
Knowledge of packaging structures print processes and vendor requirements preferred
Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage timelines effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with data migration and data integration projects is a plus
