The duties of Patient Care Associate Trainee (PCA) include:
Assisting the healthcare team; the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the guidance of an RN.
PCA assists patients with daily living needs monitoring & reading vital signs drawing blood and obtaining EKGs.
Responds to patient requests in a timely manner safeguarding patient confidentiality monitoring patient safety and always communicating in a respectful manner.

Must have previous Coop or Clinical experience for all Intensive Care units which include:
Multidisciplinary ICU
Neuro ICU
Medical ICU
Cardiac Surgical ICU
Pediatrics ICU
Requirements:
CPR: Either American Red Cross or and American Heart Association for Health Care Providers is required. Any other provider of CPR certification will not be accepted.
Education Level: Enrolled sophomore to senior nursing students
