We are currently expanding our dedicated care team and are looking for caring committed individuals who are passionate about helping others live independently comfortably and with dignity in their own homes.
If you have a full UK driving licence access to your own vehicle and a genuine desire to support others we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Community Care Assistant no two days are the same. You will provide essential support to individuals with a variety of needs helping them maintain independence while feeling safe respected and valued in their own homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing personal care (washing dressing personal hygiene)
Supporting with meal preparation shopping and light household duties
Offering companionship and emotional support
Prompting or administering medication in line with care plans
Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes to the office / oncall
Travelling between service users within the Swadlincote area (mileage paid)
Pay Rates
Non-Qualified Carers
Weekdays: 12.65 per hour
Weekends: 13.00 per hour
Qualified Carers (Level 2)
Weekdays: 13.10 per hour
Weekends: 14.00 per hour
Enhanced rates may apply depending on hours worked.
Pay Rates
A rewarding full-time role supporting people in your local community
35p per mile mileage allowance
5 per month data allowance
Full in-house induction and training at our Swadlincote office
Shadow shifts and competency sign-off before lone working
Ongoing support from a friendly professional team
Structured rota with consistent hours
Opportunities to gain qualifications and develop your career
Important Applicant Information
Applicants must live locally to Swadlincote or within a reasonable commuting distance as this is a community-based role.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
Due to the personal care needs and privacy requirements of the individuals we support this post is open to female applicants only under the Genuine Occupational Requirement provision of the Equality Act 2010.
Availability for part time hours
Previous care experience is welcome but not essential full training is provided.
