The Requirements Engineer will act as a senior requirements engineer and partial project manager for a strategic records management platform initiative. The role focuses primarily on requirements engineering and product ownership support with additional responsibilities for planning milestones and reporting. The consultant will bridge business stakeholders and engineering teams drive backlog prioritization translate requirements into implementable user stories and participate in Scrum ceremonies. The position requires deep understanding of business processes platform development and modern ECM/content management solutions enabling the candidate to influence design challenge stakeholders constructively and ensure pragmatic cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience as a Requirements Engineer in IT projects
- Experience translating business needs into technical user stories for engineering teams
- Strong experience developing platforms combining vendor products and custom development
- Experience with global project teams across multiple time zones
- Exposure to project management activities including planning reporting and milestone tracking
- Agile delivery experience and participation in Scrum methodologies
- Technical background with good understanding of IT architectures and system concepts
- Familiarity with ECM and content-centric platforms (Hyland Alfresco OpenText Documentum SharePoint) is a strong plus
- Experience designing API-driven UI-to-backend interaction patterns (React/Angular or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creative mindset and ability to simplify complex processes
- Confidence to challenge senior stakeholders
- Pragmatic approach to implementing solutions that balance cost and user benefit
- Fluent English required
