PROJECT
We are looking for an experienced Senior Hardware Mechanical Engineer to support the development of Automotive Compute Units.
The role requires close cross-functional collaboration and strong technical ownership in mechanical design for automotive electronic hardware.
YOU WILL
- Analyze and interpret internal and customer requirements using tools such as Polarion and DOORS.
- Lead mechanical design activities for computer products
- Cooperate closely with CAD designers and cross-functional teams (Electrical Engineering Validation Material Engineering etc.)
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and product performance (tolerance stack-up analysis defining tolerances)
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) in design processes
- Participate in Bill of Materials (BOM) creation
- Ensure compliance with EMC and ESD requirements
- Support thermal design with focus on active cooling MCIP and alternative technologies.
- Work with manufacturing technologies including sheet metal die casting and plastic components.
MUST HAVE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry
- Experience in automotive electronic hardware design
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies: sheet metal die casting plastics
- Practical experience with GD&T
- Solid understanding of EMC and ESD design requirements
- Knowledge of thermal management and heat dissipation in electronic head units
- Experience with Polarion DFMEA
- Strong written and spoken English
- Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset
