Job Summary
The Technical Project Coordinator (TPM) Sales Engineering Support plays a critical role at the intersection of sales engineering estimating and manufacturing. This early-career role supports senior sales leadership by helping translate conceptual and schematic designs into clear executable technical scopes. You will help ensure design intent construct ability and commercial alignment from pursuit through project hand off. This role is ideal for a highly capable graduate with strong technical fluency internship or co-op experience in AEC structural engineering or construction and the confidence to engage with sophisticated customers and internal technical teams.
Responsibilities
Sales & Pre-Construction Support
- Partner with Sales Leaders and Engineering to support complex pursuits and negotiated projects serving as the technical coordination lead during early stages.
- Review architectural and engineering documents (conceptual through IFC) to identify scope risk assumptions and clarifications.
- Assist in developing technical proposals narratives qualifications and value-engineering concepts.
- Support customer meetings design reviews and technical presentations with procurement leaders engineers and contractors.
Technical Project Coordination
- Translate architectural and structural designs into internal engineering and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate across engineering estimating detailing and manufacturing teams to align scope schedule and feasibility.
- Track technical decisions open items and design changes throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
- Support transition from awarded project into execution ensuring continuity of scope and assumptions.
Engineering & Design Engagement
- Confidently navigate and review models drawings and calculations using architectural and engineering software.
- Identify construct ability considerations interface risks and coordination gaps early.
- Assist with RFIs clarifications and technical correspondence.
Process & Documentation
- Maintain organized project records design logs and technical documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of sales engineering workflows templates and standards.

Education & Early Experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Construction Engineering Architecture or a related technical field.
- Internship co-op or academic project experience in structural steel building systems construction or engineering consulting.
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated confidence using architectural and engineering software such as: AutoCAD Revit Tekla or similar modeling tools; Structural analysis or design tools (academic or professional exposure).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural structural and construction documents.
Professional Capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior internal leaders and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple work streams.
