Job Description
BJC HealthCare/Saint Lukesis seeking a dedicatedInpatient Pharmacistto join our team atSaint Lukes South Hospitalin Overland Park KS.
This role is designed for a pharmacist who excels in clinical decision-making and collaborative care within a high-functioning health system. You will be responsible for end-to-end medication managementfrom complex pharmacokinetic consultations to supervising supportive staffwhile ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
Schedule Details
- Status:Part-Time (24 hours/week).
- Shift:Swing shift coverage between 7:00 AM 5:00 PM or 1:00 PM 9:00 PM.
- Rotation:One weekend per month and one Friday evening every two months; includes a holiday rotation.
- Note:This position includes support for theCommunity Hospitallocation.
Your Impact
- Clinical Excellence:Design and monitor therapeutic plans conduct pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic evaluations and provide expert drug information to the interdisciplinary team.
- Patient Advocacy:Deliver comprehensive medication counseling to patients and caregivers to ensure safe and effective transitions of care.
- Operational Oversight:Interpret and dispense medication orders with precision while maintaining secure compliant distribution systems.
- Safety & Quality:Proactively manage and report adverse drug events (ADEs) and medication errors to drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
- Leadership:Supervise pharmacy technicians and supportive personnel manage departmental projects and contribute to a culture of professional development.
Qualifications
- Experience:Open to early-career professionals (less than 1 year of applicable experience).
- Skills:Strong critical thinking ability to work within an EMR-driven environment and excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
