After-School Childcare Provider / Nanny (Long-Term)

Children: Two school-aged children one girl (5 turning 6 in August) and one boy (8 turning 9 in January 2027)
Hours: Tuesday to Thursday 4.00 pm 7.00 pm
Overview
We are seeking a warm reliable and experienced after-school childcare provider or nanny to support a family with two school-aged children on a long-term basis. The role involves school pick-up and after-school care at home and would suit someone looking for consistent part-time afternoon work.
The family is ideally looking for someone to begin at the start of the new school year (end of August). However to support a smooth transition they would like to arrange introductions and some initial sessions in May / June while the school term is still running.
Key Responsibilities
Collect children from school at 4.00 pm (school is approximately 2.5 km from home - Clonskeagh)
Provide attentive age-appropriate after-school care at home
Support routines such as snacks homework play and wind-down time
Maintain a safe calm and nurturing environment at all times
Follow the familys guidance and safeguarding expectations
Requirements
Experience caring for school-aged children
Full driving licence and access to own car (Preferred for school pick-up)
Reliable and punctual
Availability Tuesday to Thursday during the stated hours
Interest in a long-term arrangement
German language skills are a benefit but not essential (children are fluent in English & German)
Strong safeguarding awareness
Relevant references and childcare checks (e.g. DBS) or willingness to obtain them
Additional Context
A parent typically finishes work at 6.00 pm and is usually home by around 6.30 pm though 7.00 pm provides safe flexibility.
