Quality Control Technician - Aggregates

What Youll Be Doing

  • Collect aggregate samples from pits quarries stockpiles autosamplers and production belts following standardized procedures.
  • Travel regularly to remote sites to validate materials interact with site personnel and transport samples back to the lab.
  • Conduct routine sampling and testing of materials to ensure product quality and compliance including sieve analysis gradation checks moisture content tests and other aggregate-related tests.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying quality issues and contributing to corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams while maintaining accurate records proper equipment calibration and safe organized work areas.

What We Are Looking For

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred with experience in aggregate mining and construction environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured field and lab procedures.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work and working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Experience operating drones or holding a valid drone license is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license.

Work Environment

  • Work performed in both laboratory and outdoor industrial settings.
  • Frequent travel to remote sites with significant driving required.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions dust noise and moving equipment.
  • Role may involve standing walking operating testing tools or machinery and lifting up to 50lbs as part of regular job duties.
  • Use of personal protective equipment required.
