Key Responsibilities
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures with tissue handling suturing and hemostasis.
Maintain sterile fields and ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols.
Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate instrument and supply needs.
Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care as required.
Assist with wound closure retracting tissue and other surgical tasks under surgeon supervision.
Inspect and prepare surgical instruments and equipment before during and after procedures.
Qualifications
Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) or equivalent credential required.
Completion of an accredited surgical assisting program or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years experience
Knowledge of sterile technique surgical anatomy and operative procedures.
Strong attention to detail teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks.
