In this role you will lead efforts in maintaining and developing the Dynamic Positioning System product encompassing controllers interfaces and HMI. You will play a critical role in ensuring the Safety Security Reliability and Performance of this system. A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can develop talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development activities for the DP System ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations e.g. IEC IEC62443
- Specify and lead implementation efforts to expand the capability of the existing system and associated tools for continuous improvement and/or simplification.
- Analyse and identify performance bottlenecks within applications and implement optimizations to enhance overall application performance and responsiveness.
- Modernisation and porting of existing functionality to new platforms and/or operating systems as required. Support discussions with stakeholders to map out the future strategy for DP Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelors degree in engineering Computer Science or a related field.
- Solid experience on working in automation/control or a similar technical discipline.
- Practical experience of cross platform programming: Embedded Systems in C/C Windows C/C/C#
- Proven experience in writing clean efficient and maintainable code.
- Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict timescales.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to Automation & Controls Validation

- Experience in Power Marine Oil and Gas Industrial domain
