What impact youll makeAs VAT Leader for EMEA region you will be responsible for the strategy management and oversight of all Power VAT accounting compliance and reporting requirements specific to Europe Middle East - Africa region. The position involves managing regional teams and third-party service providers working closely with regional business finance teams and the Global Tax Operations team.
Job Description
What youll do
Oversight of the regions VAT accounting compliance and reporting for all Power legal entities.
Management of regional teams and outsourcing relationships.
Provide audit guidance and support.
Evaluate and communicate significant income statement and cash flow items.
Review of VAT account balances reserves and reconciliations for Power Global Controllership and HQ reporting requirements.
Identify VAT utilization strategies strongly focus on monetization.
Lead transformation of organization to support Power segment lean initiatives.
Provide guidance on VAT requirements for ERP rollouts developments and upgrades.
Identify areas for process systems and reporting improvements to efficiently and effectively meet compliance objectives.
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in accounting from an accredited university or college.
Major Indirect Tax experience including accounting systems and compliance
Considerable GE (or equivalent) Finance / Controllership experience
- Fluent English knowledge is essential
- Communications skills to discuss complex tax issues opportunities and risks to non-tax experts in a clear and concise manner
- Detail-oriented organized and able to prioritize multiple projects tasks and strict deadlines
- Demonstrates influencing skills and understands approaches to change management

Ability to partner effectively across business Tax Legal and Finance
Additional Notes:
- Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary
- This is a hybrid role with three days remote and two days in the office.
