Hours: Core business hours are MondayFriday 8:00 AM4:30 PM (PST) with flexibility required to support leadership and organizational needs.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay: $145000 - $155000 DOE

Job Summary

The Human Resources Director is a strategic hands-on leader responsible for cultivating a thriving workplace where people feel trusted supported and empowered to grow. This role oversees all facets of HRincluding talent acquisition employee relations performance management organizational development compliance and culture stewardshipensuring that Herb Pharm remains a vibrant inclusive and resilient place to work!

Key Responsibilities

People & Culture Leadership

  • Champion Herb Pharms culture of stewardship as demonstrated through kindness agility and accountability ensuring our values are woven into every practice and engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees fostering an environment of transparency psychological safety and shared purpose.

Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and execute a strategic talent plan that supports organizational goals and future growth.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting efforts ensuring candidate experiences reflect Herb Pharms commitment to integrity and inclusivity.
  • Partner with managers to identify capability needs and build a healthy high-performing workforce.

Employee Experience & Organizational Development

  • Design and refine programs that support employee learning leadership development engagement and recognition.
  • Guide organizational change with clarity empathy and effective communication.
  • Lead performance management systems that emphasize coaching accountability and growth.

Compensation Benefits & Total Rewards

  • Oversee competitive equitable compensation and benefits programs aligned with our values and sustainability commitments.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to total rewards offerings that support holistic wellbeing.

Compliance Policies & HR Operations

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws workplace safety guidelines and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Report HR metrics to senior management through data analysis.
  • Annually review and make recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organizations policies procedures and practices and communicate changes to ensure understanding with the goal of supporting the HP mission and HP employees.

Required Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelors degree in human resources management (or similar field); and
  • Experience: At least 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience with at least 3 years leading HR strategy; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

  • Proven ability to shape culture lead change and build trusted relationships across all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law HR best practices and organizational development.
  • Experience in manufacturing natural products agriculture or mission-driven environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification.
  • Masters degree in business administration or human resources management (or related field)

Working Conditions

  • Work Environment: Office (all locations including Central Point Williams Grants Pass and Port Angeles WA)
  • Travel Requirements: Quarterly travel to Mushroom Harvest facility in Port Angeles WA
  • Physical Demands: Long hours spent on a computer; light lifting may be required occasionally.
