We are seeking a proactive Facilities Manager (f/m/d) to ensure the smooth operation of our office and research facility. You will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of buildings and their technical equipment. Additionally you will manage day-to-day office logistics coordinate building maintenance ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations and support the needs of a dynamic high-tech environment. This role requires a hands-on mentality strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.
Supervise the operation of office and research locations ensuring a safe functional and well-maintained work environment.
Act as the primary contact for property management local authorities and external service providers while managing vendor relationships and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through risk analyses coordination of employee training and planning and implementation of emergency measures such as fire alarms and evacuation procedures.
Assist in the planning and setup of new laboratories and testing areas as the company grows.
Lead and develop a small team responsible for facility operations and office management.
Provide guidance set priorities and ensure high team performance to maintain a productive work environment.
Extensive experience in office facility construction and property management ideally in a high-tech research or industrial environment.
Solid knowledge of facility operations including building maintenance vendor coordination and adherence to safety regulations.
Problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach for addressing technical defects in both facilities and infrastructure.
Ability to work confidently in a dynamic environment particularly supporting scientists and engineers.
Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external partners.
Experience in leading a facility workplace services or administration team with the ability to empower team members and drive operational excellence.
Fluent in German and English.
Primary contact for facility management high on-site presence required with availability for emergencies on weekends or evenings. Flexible remote work possible provided adequate on-site facility support is ensured.
Advantageous: Certifications in occupational safety fire protection hazardous materials and/or first aid.
