Hitachi Ltd. - Warehouse Technician
Job Summary
As a Warehouse Technician at Hitachi Ltd. you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing materials maintaining organized inventory and supporting overall warehouse operations to ensure smooth logistical flow.
Job Responsibilities
* Receive inspect unload and store incoming materials and products verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies or damage.
* Pick pack and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer orders and shipping instructions ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
* Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts pallet jacks and hand trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
* Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning labeling and data entry into the warehouse management system (WMS).
* Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to minimize discrepancies.
* Organize and maintain a clean safe and efficient warehouse environment adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
* Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance as required.
* Collaborate with other warehouse staff logistics teams and internal departments to resolve issues and optimize processes.
* Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers.
* Report any equipment malfunctions safety hazards or quality control issues to supervisors.
Job Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
* Proficiency in operating forklifts pallet jacks cranes and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
* Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace regulations.
