Mission of the role
To ensure accurate timely and reliable financial operations across Our clients global entities by owning core accounting workflows AR and AP month-end close reconciliations and reporting preparation. The Senior Financial Accountant builds scalable financial hygiene strengthens financial visibility and enables leadership to make confident operational decisions and enabling systems and processes for automation and scale. This role is responsible for executional financial integrity and operational rigor while supporting forecasting compliance and reporting under the direction of the COO and external finance partners.
Key Challenges (First 1224 Months)
Establish a highly reliable and predictable month-end close across AU UK US and CA entities.
Ensure complete and accurate revenue recognition reconciliations and financial reporting in a multi-entity SaaS and Services environment.
Coordinate effectively with external bookkeepers tax advisors and payroll providers while maintaining internal ownership and control.
Strengthen financial hygiene and automation across systems including Xero Syft Airwallex Rippling and later (Chargebee or similar).
Improve financial visibility and operational efficiency as Our client scales globally with increasing transaction volume and complexity.
Build scalable processes that reduce manual work and enable accurate forecasting and reporting

The Senior Accountant is Responsible for core accounting execution across Our clients global entities including:
Month-end close
Reconciliations (bank revenue payroll expenses intercompany)
Accounts payable and receivable governance and execution
Revenue reconciliation and support for revenue recognition policy
Management reporting preparation
Audit preparation and coordination
Coordination with external accountants tax advisors and payroll providers.
Financial footprint supported:
Multi-entity global structure (AU UK US CA)
Multi-currency operations and intercompany transfers
SaaS subscription revenue model
Rapid scaling global operations.

Key Outputs (First 12 Months)
Deliver monthly financial close within 5 business days with zero material errors.
Maintain fully reconciled accounts across bank payroll revenue expenses and balance sheet accounts each month.
Prepare complete and accurate monthly management reporting packs including P&L balance sheet cashflow and variance analysis.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing AR tracking and AP management across all entities.
Improve finance operational efficiency through process improvements and automation reducing manual workflows.
Qualifications :
Key Requirements
Must Haves (Ranked)
1. Strong Accounting Fundamentals (Critical)
CPA or CA qualified (or near completion)
Strong accrual accounting and reconciliation skills
2. Multi-Entity Accounting Experience (Critical)
Experience supporting multiple entities currencies and jurisdictions
Strong understanding of financial controls
3. Month-End Close Ownership Experience (Critical)
Direct responsibility for close process
Experience delivering timely accurate financial reporting
4. SaaS or Recurring Revenue Experience (High Priority)
Experience with revenue reconciliation subscription billing or SaaS finance environments
5. Systems Fluency (High Priority)
Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
Strong Google Sheets / Excel capability
Ability to operate within modern finance tooling environments
6. Operational Ownership and Execution Mindset (High Priority)
Highly reliable and detail-oriented
Strong follow-through and accountability

Additional Information :
Measurable Accountabilities
Success in this role will be measured against clear tangible metrics. The month-end close must be completed within 5 business days with zero material errors and all balance sheet accounts must be 100% reconciled monthly. Reporting accuracy is paramount with a goal of no material errors. Operational efficiency will be tracked through AR days outstanding (target <30 days) and flawless AP execution with no missed or duplicate payments. Revenue must be fully reconciled monthly with no unreconciled variances. The role also carries accountability for audit readiness defined by clean audit support with minimal external adjustments and a demonstrated ability to drive process improvement yielding efficiency gains and reduced manual workflows.
