Senior Manufacturing Engineer Fabrication (Sheet Metal & Welding)
Location: Eagle Wisconsin (Fully Onsite MondayFriday Day Shift)

Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a large well-established manufacturing organization that designs and produces energy and industrial equipment used across residential commercial and infrastructure environments. The company is expanding plant operations and adding a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support fabrication throughput welding automation and production efficiency.

This is a true plant-floor engineering role not a desk design position. You will work directly with fabrication equipment operators and production leadership to improve quality uptime and manufacturability.

What Youll Work On:

You will act as the technical subject matter expert for sheet metal fabrication operations including:

• Laser cutting and turret punching

• Press brake forming and bending

• Robotic MIG welding

• Automated fabrication cells

• Production throughput and uptime improvement

You will partner closely with design engineering maintenance and operations to ensure products are manufacturable efficient and scalable.

Core Responsibilities:

• Improve fabrication processes through DFM (Design for Manufacturability) collaboration

• Optimize OEE equipment capacity and production flow

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen/5S/RCCA)

• Design cell layouts and manufacturing workflows

• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) for sheet metal components

• Implement tooling fixtures and automation solutions

• Support capital equipment selection and startup

• Work directly on the shop floor with operators and technicians

• Document processes and standard work procedures

• Drive quality and cost improvements across fabrication operations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or similar technical field

• 5 years manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment

• Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment

• Experience improving manufacturing processes and production performance

Highly Preferred Experience:

• Turret punch presses laser cutters and brake presses

• MIG welding and robotic welding cells

• Amada Salvagnini Cincinnati or similar fabrication equipment

• CAD (SolidWorks Creo/ProE or AutoCAD)

• Lean manufacturing methods (5S Value Stream Mapping Kaizen)

• High-mix / low-volume and/or high-volume manufacturing

• Capacity planning line balancing and root cause analysis

• CapEx equipment implementation and startup

• Working with automation (Fanuc or ABB robotics)
