Summary:
The Migrant Support Worker will provide practical emotional and housing-related support to migrant individuals and families who face barriers to settling safely and independently in the UK. The role focuses on enabling households to understand their rights and responsibilities access essential services overcome language and cultural barriers and move towards stable and sustainable accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide holistic person-centred support to migrant households including those in temporary accommodation.
- Build trust and rapport with families who may have experienced trauma displacement or exploitation.
- Support individuals to understand UK housing welfare education and health systems.
- Arrange interpreters and use accessible communication methods to overcome language barriers.
- Explain tenancy rights and responsibilities in a clear culturally sensitive manner.
- Support families to develop the skills required to sustain safe and stable tenancies.
Essentials:
- Experience working with vulnerable families migrants refugees or individuals with complex needs.
- Understanding of housing rights welfare systems and tenancy sustainment practices.
- Ability to work in a culturally competent and trauma-informed manner.
- Strong communication skills including experience working with interpreters.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.

- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a Basic DBS
