Asset Maintenance and Inventory
- Check all equipment in the classrooms to ensure that it is in good working condition and to ensure classroom furniture is properly arranged.
- Perform basic repair work & preventive maintenance work which includes technical electrical mechanical or plumbing and to ensure the job is performed to a satisfactory level.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition after every maintenance work.
- Be aware of risk at the working area and ensure work is carried out strictly in accordance with Health & Safety and security policy.
- Liaise with external technicians/contractors on the maintenance of equipment and premises.
- Carry out inventory check and asset tagging.
- Carry out office and external storage clean-up exercise.
Facilities
- Check and report any defects in office area all the toilets by daily basis.
- Sort and distribute incoming courier consignments and other deliveries.
- Take deliveries and distribute them to the recipient(s) immediately.
- Assist with the maintenance of the Security Access Card System.
- Assist with the maintenance of the Phone System.
- Check the stationery and pantry supply and report to Facilities Manager of depreciating stock.
- Replenish stationery tray and first aid kit box.
- Clear all workstations on Mezzanine Floor of all personal belongings at the end of the day daily (for evening shift technician) in accordance with the Clear-Desk Policy. The items are placed in the Facilities Area for staff to claim the next morning.
- Ensure that the Facilities Unit is always kept tidy.
Room arrangement (classrooms Meeting rooms Front Of House & exam halls)
- Arrange classrooms every morning/afternoon before classes begin and tidy up during break-time throughout the day.
- Arrange classrooms Front of house in accordance with scheduled events and requests.
Other support duties
- Prepare and assist with course materials for both on-site and off-site courses. Support responsibilities are not limited to the Teaching Centre and may extend to other Business Unit or programs as required.
- Assist with liaising external suppliers on matters such as Courier Services electrical supplies and equipment.
- Assist with manual handling whenever required.
- Any other duties required by Senior Technician and Facilities Manager.
- Assist with the maintenance of archiving coordination to file send for archive and retrieve records.
Reprographics
- Assist with long print runs printing photocopying and laminating.
- Replace toners for all photocopiers whenever required.
- Ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Ensure consumables are sufficient to meet demand.
Postage
- Assist with courier and mail whenever required.
- Call for courier service whenever required.
Security
- Check and lock up the building at the end of the working day. Also ensure all electrical appliances are switched off when closing the premises for the day.
- Report any abnormality in the surrounding areas to the security personnel of the building management and Facilities Manager immediately.
- Ensure Ground floor blinds are down and switch on the spiral staircase light by 6.30pm daily.
- Act as a floor monitor for the 4th floor.
Role specific knowledge and experience:
Minimum / Essential Requirements
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Basic knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures
- Minimum 1 year experience in maintenance of facility or premise.
- Fresh graduates possessing relevant skills are encouraged to apply.
