The HR Intern will support key Human Resources initiatives with a focus on compliance HR systems and process improvement. This role provides hands-on experience in auditing employee records assisting with an HRIS implementation and contributing to HR projects that support business operations. The intern will gain exposure to core HR functions while developing practical skills in data management confidentiality and cross-functional collaboration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Compliance
- Support a comprehensive employee file audit to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
HRIS
- Assist with preparation for conversion to a new HR system including:
- Extracting and organizing employee documents
- Participating in weekly touchpoint meetings with the HRIS vendor
- Supporting project work to prepare system modules and data for implementation
Internship Capstone Project
Prepare and deliver a final presentation to senior leadership summarizing internship experience key learnings recommendations and outcomes for the organization.
ABOUT YOU:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Human Resources Organizational/Industrial Psychology Business Administration or related field
- Interest in HR Compliance or HR systems
- Availability for a minimum 12-week summer internship
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication
- Ability to organize prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Work PowerPoint)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work onsite in an office setting
TRAVEL
No travel required
Expected Compensation: $20.00-22.00/hr.
