CORP2602 Chief Operating Officer (COO)

I.M. Systems Group Inc. IMSG () is a science-based company providing professional scientific and technical support to the Federal government. IMSG is seeking to hire a highly qualified Chief Operating Officer (COO). The position will be a member of the executive leadership team responsible for the companys strategic vision. The COO will oversee day-to-day business operations and work closely with the CEO to achieve long-term growth and profitability objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES (but are not limited to):

• Oversee daily operations across key business functions.
• Ensure operational scalability to support growth objectives.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration.
• Develop and execute company strategy.
• Lead annual planning and long-range operational forecasting.
• Identify growth opportunities operational efficiencies and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor P&L performance and ensure operational efficiency.
• Allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.
• Assist with responding to RFIs RFPs Sources Sought solicitations and other types of opportunity requests from the government.
• Identify and Participate in industry day pre-bid events procurement fairs and other networking events.
• Perform in-depth competitive and other business analyses and present to Company Executive Team as part of the decision process critical bid/no-bid decision-making.
• Develop and assist in managing strategic partnerships.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in business or related field (preferred);
• 10 years of progress leadership experience including senior operational oversight
• Strong financial literacy and experience managing P&L.
• Excellent strategic thinking and execution skills.
• Familiar and conversant on major Cabinet Departments Bureaus and Agencies in US e.g. Department of Commerce/NOAA NASA USGS Department of Transportation/FAA USDA DOE DOD etc.
• Solid understanding of the challenges faced by federal government contractors and experience in marketing and selling services in the federal marketplace.
• An outgoing and friendly personality with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish rapport with people.
• Excellent communications public speaking and presentation skills with a solid working knowledge of budgeting sales business development and strategic planning;.
• Able and willing to travel.

Salary Range: $150000 - $225000

U.S. Citizen required to qualify for this position.
