About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 encouraging students to experiment with a wide range of materials techniques and artistic styles. You will contribute to curriculum planning exhibitions and enrichment opportunities that celebrate student creativity.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver stimulating and well-structured Art lessons aligned with curriculum and GCSE requirements
Teach a broad range of disciplines including drawing painting mixed media and digital art
Assess track and report on student progress effectively
Create a visually inspiring classroom environment that celebrates student work
Organise displays exhibitions and enrichment activities
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom organisation
Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4
Strong portfolio of artistic practice and subject knowledge
Ability to motivate and stretch learners of all abilities
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
Legal right to work in the UK
