Job Summary

A well-established and busy secondary school in Kingston is seeking a reliable organised and experienced Premises Officer to join their facilities management team. This is a full-time permanent role starting ASAP providing vital support to ensure the school site is safe operational and well-maintained.

About the Role

As the Premises Officer you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance safety and general operation of the school site. You will work closely with the Site Manager and caretaking team to maintain a welcoming safe and functional environment for students staff and visitors.

This role involves a mix of practical maintenance tasks health and safety oversight and event support. The successful candidate must be proactive hands-on and able to prioritise tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily inspections of buildings grounds and facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness
Undertake minor maintenance repairs and general upkeep of the site
Assist with health and safety compliance reporting hazards and ensuring risk assessments are followed
Coordinate room setups for lessons meetings and school events
Manage deliveries waste disposal and storage of equipment
Support larger projects and renovations as required
Provide guidance to other site staff and liaise with contractors when needed
