Job Summary: The Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides comprehensive mental health nursing care to adult patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting ensuring safety therapeutic intervention and coordination of behavioral health treatment plans.

Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric and physical assessments of patients.
Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
Administer medications and monitor therapeutic and adverse effects.
Manage crisis situations and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
Document patient status and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Course (8 hours).
EPIC EMR experience highly preferred.
Unit details: 31-bed inpatient psychiatric unit.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications
AHA BLS.
CPI or PMCS Certification.

License: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.

Additional Onboarding Requirements: SEL and SCR forms required for onboarding.
