Job Summary

Senior Care Assistant Days. Oak Springs Care Home

  • Pay: £14.45 per hour
  • Hours: 44 hours per week
  • Shifts: 8am-8pm shifts

Join our dedicated team at Oak Springs a luxury purpose-built residential care home providing exceptional residential respite and dementia care to older adults. Our 74-bed home spread over three beautifully designed floors offers a vibrant enriched environment with features such as music rooms a beauty salon peaceful lounges and courtyard areas.

We are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our residents supporting their individual needs hobbies and preferences.

As a Senior Care Assistant you will take on a leadership role ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Personalised Care: Assisting residents with personal care hygiene meals and daily activities while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Companionship: Offering emotional support and fostering meaningful relationships.
  • Leadership Duties: Supervising and mentoring care staff conducting appraisals supervisions and interviews administering medication and maintaining accurate records and supporting care planning audits and liaising with healthcare professionals.
  • Promoting Wellbeing: Encouraging residents to engage in activities that enrich their lives tailored to their interests and abilities.
  • Upholding Standards: Ensuring the care home environment is safe clean and welcoming.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking an experienced compassionate leader with a passion for elderly care. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • A warm positive personality and a calm professional approach under pressure.
  • A Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or willingness to achieve it).
  • Confidence with record-keeping and using technology.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of residents and the home.

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘STREAM’.
